Craig Woolheater

Craig Woolheater is co-founder of the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy.

Woolheater had a life changing experience in 1994 when he and his wife observed a bigfoot while driving home to Dallas from New Orleans along a highway approaching Alexandria, LA. After this sighting his interest became more involved and eventually led to the creation of what is now the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy in 1999.

Starting in 2001, Woolheater organized a major conference held in east Texas. Since then many of the most prominent investigators of the sasquatch phenomenon have spoken at the annual fall Texas Bigfoot Conference, including Dr. Jeff Meldrum and Dr. John Bindernagel. Woolheater was also instrumental in organizing exhibits at museums, including the 2005 "BIGFOOT: Fact or Folklore?" exhibit at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, and the 2006 "Bigfoot in Texas?" exhibit and lecture series at the prestigious Institute of Texan Cultures (ITC) in San Antonio[1].

After having served honorably as Chairman since the group's inception, Craig Woolheater resigned in 2010 to pursue other activites; he maintains a loose affiliation with the organization and was given the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus and Co-Founder.

Woolheater is also c-founder and blogger of the website Cryptomundo and is the current owner.
